Night Time, Our Time by Andrea Panaligan
"Late hours are mainly quiet because all the noise is internal; nothing makes us more alive than the dead of the night.
I took these photos of my friends when we were sixteen. I wanted to capture that sense of invincibility that seemed unique to the teenage experience; the kind of angst that made us feel like we could set the world on fire--and we did. We burned it down to the ground, until its flame couldn't light our way anymore. In the dark, everything is a hyper-sensory experience; feelings are magnified, inclinations are heightened. I guess that's why when you're young, every little thing feels like the end of the world.
Good night. See you in the morning, maybe."
